It's a shame, but I think there are a number of states that need to be added to this list , not just the ones in the current public eye.
Well yeah. There's plenty of oppressed populations in the world. But perhaps if we can get attention on one we can get a ball rolling. Or set a precedent that makes dictators think very carefully about their actions...
And thanks for making the joke. I wanted to but couldn't break the conscience barrier :)
Funny that we - well, most of the West - were in like with a bullet (quite literally) over Iraq and Afganistan.
Burma on the other hand we seem to be ignoring and have been for the last 20 years or so.

Iraq = Oil
Afghanistan = completely pointless little country, but the obvious target to justify the "War on Terror"
So what about East Timor, Tibet, Checnya, Liberia, etc, etc?
